Players of the beloved classic Super Mario RPG on Nintendo Switch have encountered a stumbling block, quite literally. Nintendo has acknowledged the existence of a bug that hinders game progression.
This glitch surfaces following the Paratroopa event in Monstro Town, a crucial juncture in the game. Players can identify this issue if the Paratroopas fail to appear in Land’s End, a scenario that prevents further advancement in the game.
In response to this issue, Nintendo has offered a simple yet effective workaround. Players facing this bug are advised to visit the Mushroom Kingdom and then return to Land’s End. This detour should resolve the problem by causing the Paratroopas to appear as they should, allowing players to continue their adventure. Nintendo has provided clear instructions for this process:
- Visit the Mushroom Kingdom: Players need to travel to the Mushroom Kingdom, but it’s not necessary to enter the castle. Merely being in the town area around the castle is sufficient.
- Use of the Map: Players are free to use the map for traveling to the Mushroom Kingdom.
- Returning to Land’s End: Upon returning to Land’s End, players can either use the map again or select the “To World Map” option.
While this workaround provides immediate relief, Nintendo assures a more permanent solution is on the horizon. A patch is scheduled for release in December, which aims to fix this bug permanently. Nintendo plans to update players once this patch goes live.
