It’s time to gear up for a wild ride back to Manhattan! The folks behind “The Walking Dead: Dead City” are hyping up season two big time. At Comic-Con this year, they gave fans a taste of the brutal action headed our way.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, and showrunner Eli Jorné took the stage at Hall H to spill some juicy deets. But the coolest part was definitely the new trailer. Man, it got everyone pumped! We see Negan back in his black leather jacket and swinging around his barbed wire bat Lucille. Looks like the ruthless guy we remember is coming back in a major way.
Morgan teased that “circumstances will bring back the old Negan.” He even quoted Negan’s classic line, which had the crowd going nuts. Guess we’ll be seeing a lot more of Negan’s twisted antics terrorizing Manhattan.
The plot for season two sounds insane. According to the synopsis, Maggie and Negan find themselves on opposite sides of some major power struggles in the city. Their paths crossing should lead to some seriously dramatic moments.
After that crazy cliffhanger, Maggie comes back to NYC with a mission to rescue Negan. But the trailer has me thinking he can handle himself just fine out there! Their story is shaping up to be more complicated and scary than ever.
We also got introduced to some new faces joining the chaos. Actors like Dascha Polanco from “Orange Is the New Black” and Jake Weary from “Animal Kingdom” will bring their A-games. Gaius Charles and Željko Ivanek return too to amp up the intensity.
It’s so cool to see “The Walking Dead” universe continuing to thrive with spinoffs like “Daryl Dixon.” Fans are obviously still obsessed with this post-apocalyptic world. Mark your calendars cause season two of “Dead City” isn’t till 2025. The wait will be worth it to see how Maggie and Negan’s explosive storyline plays out!
