Rockstar Has Many Interesting Plans for Grand Theft Auto 6

The company wants to avoid their mistakes with GTA 5

Rockstar could positively surprise gamers who are awaiting Grand Theft Auto 6. The newest installment in the series is going to take an interesting path, as GTA 6 will supposedly receive add-ons to simultaneously expand GTA Online.

Tez2, who is one of the best insiders related to the GTA series, has reported on GTA Forums the details it has received about the development plans for GTA 6.

Rockstar is looking to rectify its mistake with GTA 5 and this time properly take care of expansions for fans of single-player gameplay, although the new content will also be used for GTA Online.

“Rockstar will return to the strategy of planning future content before GTA Online was a success. The first wave of “new cities and missions” that we will receive as DLC will definitely be planned before the release of VI. And Rockstar will be able to allocate resources to any new title they work on after VI’s release.”

“As for the new cities, I think we will mainly get instances of new cities or islands [implicitly smaller, independent locations]. For example, in the style of Cayo Perico or North Yankton. This way Rockstar can introduce new heists for the next GTA Online mode with each new DLC. If we’re lucky, we might get a full-fledged new city from time to time.”

Developers are expected to roll out new features that will make their debut in GTA 6 (single-player) and GTA Online, and thanks to the new cities we will participate in story missions, but the content will also be used for online heists.

Rockstar has currently been said to be planning smaller locations that won’t be the size of a full-fledged city, but those could also make their way into the game. It all probably depends on the very success of GTA 6 itself and especially GTA Online.

As is known, GTA 5 was not given story missions precisely because of the success of Grand Theft Auto online, but apparently for the new installment we can count on adequate content being provided for all players.
