Well, we do not know if James Cameron is the best director in Hollywood, but one this is for sure: that his name is undoubtedly among the loudest and most recognizable ones.
The director has a whole lot of followers, and virtually every one of his films turns out to be a financial success. And nothing has changed in this regard for many, many years now.
Whenever his name appears on a cinema poster, it’s automatically worth adding at least a few screenings for each day.
Yet the best confirmation of this is the numbers. Cameron, it turns out, has achieved a historic feat, and became the first director in history whose three productions have exceeded $1.5 billion at the box office.
We’re talking, obviously, about “Titanic” ($2.2 billion), the first “Avatar” ($2.9 billion) and his latest work, “Avatar: The way of water” ($1.5 billion). Results like these definitely work in the imagination.

However, it must be noted that not even a month has passed since the release of the Avatar sequel, which means that it, as well, may surpass 2 billion, thereby further cementing James Cameron’s position as the only one who has managed to achieve such phenomenal financial results.
And while there’s probably a lot to blame on the artist himself, it certainly isn’t that no one wants to watch his films. The absurd results, chapeau bas!
