In a move that promises to elevate the already captivating experience of Sea of Stars, developer Sabotage Studio has unveiled plans to introduce a thrilling co-op multiplayer mode. This highly anticipated addition will allow up to three players to embark on a legendary adventure together, immersing themselves in the dazzling, Chrono Trigger-inspired world that has already captured the hearts of millions.

Dubbed “Single Player+,” this innovative mode will seamlessly integrate co-op gameplay into the original single-player story, offering a unique opportunity for friends to unite and experience the epic tale of Sea of Stars as a cohesive team. While maintaining the core turn-based combat mechanics that have garnered widespread acclaim, Sabotage Studio has promised to introduce a new “co-op timed hits” mechanic, adding an exciting layer of strategic collaboration to the already thrilling battles.

A tantalizing teaser video has given fans a glimpse of what’s to come, showcasing the main characters – Valere, Zale, and Garl – exploring the meticulously crafted pixel-art environments together. The footage not only highlights the freedom of movement but also teases a unique feature that allows players to temporarily separate and interact with elements in the environment before being pulled back together, ensuring a seamless cooperative experience.

The announcement of Sea of Stars’ co-op mode comes as the game celebrates an incredible milestone, surpassing five million players worldwide since its launch in August 2023. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the game’s ability to captivate audiences with its rich storytelling, stunning visuals, and engaging gameplay mechanics.

While a specific release date for the co-op mode has yet to be announced, Sabotage Studio has promised to share more details soon, fueling the anticipation and excitement of fans eagerly awaiting the opportunity to embark on legendary quests alongside their friends.

As Sea of Stars continues to enchant players around the globe, the introduction of multiplayer co-op promises to elevate the experience to new heights, fostering camaraderie, collaboration, and unforgettable adventures in this beautifully crafted RPG masterpiece.
