The hype for EA’s revival of their beloved college football franchise continues to build, as the cover art for the Deluxe Edition of College Football 25 has leaked early via the PlayStation Store. While an official reveal is still forthcoming, the prematurely released cover provides the first look at how the game will authentically represent real student-athletes.
The leaked Deluxe Edition cover depicts a tunnel view of players about to take the field, led by prominent stars like Texas QB Quinn Ewers, Michigan RB Donovan Edwards, and Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter prominently featured.
They are joined by other standouts including Ohio State’s Quinshon Judkins, Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, and Georgia’s Carson Beck, as well as players from schools like USC, Notre Dame, and Oregon.
This celebratory showcase of college football’s marquee names and talents is made possible by the recent ruling allowing student-athletes to profit from their name, image, and likeness (NIL). Players reportedly had to opt-in to appear, with those featured on the cover likely receiving additional compensation.
EA had originally planned to use generic avatars again like previous entries, but changed course after the NIL legislation passed. It’s currently unknown how deeply real player likenesses and names will be integrated throughout all modes.
While the leaked cover provides an early glimpse, EA has promised a full reveal of College Football 25 is coming sometime in May. Already confirmed are the returns of popular modes like Dynasty and Road to Glory, incorporating 134 FBS schools. New features adapting the playoff system, transfer portal, and NIL rules are also expected.

After over a decade since the franchise went dormant following NCAA Football 14, the revised College Football 25 represents EA’s first authentic reimagining built around the modern landscape.
The leaked Deluxe cover art celebrates this exciting change, putting the real stars of the game front and center. An official July 19th release date has been set, giving fans a few more months to bask in the buildup for this highly anticipated revival.
