Paramount+ dropped the full trailer Tuesday for Dutton Ranch, the long-awaited Yellowstone sequel series, revealing that the ruthless Beth Dutton and her husband Rip Wheeler have traded Montana for South Texas — and found just as much bloodshed waiting for them there. The first two episodes premiere Friday, May 15, on Paramount+ and Paramount Network, with weekly releases following through July 3.
The trailer introduces two formidable new adversaries in Oscar nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening, with Bening’s character in particular appearing to directly threaten the life Beth and Rip are trying to build with their son Carter, played by Finn Little. Harris plays Everett McKinney, a weathered veteran turned veterinarian, while Bening takes on the role of Beulah Jackson, the cunning and powerful head of a rival Texas ranch who believes fiercely in the power of family legacy.
The trailer leans hard into the mythology Yellowstone fans spent five seasons building. An emotional Beth tells Rip “I miss him,” referencing her father John Dutton III, while Rip responds that they brought the best part of her father with them — as the camera reveals a cowboy hat and a photograph of a younger John. The footage also shows Rip locating a new “train station” — the franchise’s long-running code for where enemies’ bodies get disposed of.
Dutton Ranch was created and executive produced by Chad Feehan, who previously oversaw Lawman: Bass Reeves for Taylor Sheridan. Sheridan executive produces alongside John Linson, though he does not serve as showrunner. The nine-episode first season is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, with Christina Alexandra Voros directing multiple episodes including the premiere and finale.
The show arrives as the Sheridan universe expands at a remarkable pace. Dutton Ranch is the second Yellowstone extension to hit screens in 2026, following Marshals on CBS — which follows Kayce Dutton and has already been renewed for a second season. The two series share the same timeline, raising the possibility of future crossovers. Sheridan also has Lioness, Tulsa King, Landman, and a planned 6666 spinoff in various stages of development or production.
