Brace yourselves, DC fans. The much-anticipated sequel to 2018’s Aquaman is already causing quite a stir, and not in a good way.

The film, titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, is currently in the test screening phase, and the reviews aren’t looking great. With just ten months to go until its release, fans are starting to worry.

According to several industry insiders, including the notorious leaker ViewerAnon, the early feedback on Aquaman 2 is concerning.

ViewerAnon, who has a history of accurate leaks, took to social media to share his thoughts on the film, saying, “I’ll be honest, we’ve done half a dozen test runs and it’s not looking good. For the last six months, I have consistently heard that the show is boring, not as good as the first, and potentially one of the worst in the entire DC movie universe.”

ViewerAnon isn’t the only one with negative things to say about Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Big Screen Leaks, another reliable source of movie news, has also chimed in, saying, “I am not happy to tell you that the test screenings of this film are not encouraging. I really hope Wan [Director of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom] will introduce amendments before December.”

So, what’s the problem with the film? Many critics are saying that it lacks the same spark and energy as the first movie. Others have criticized the pacing and storyline, saying that it feels disjointed and unfocused.

And while there are certainly some positive reviews out there, the overall impression is that Aquaman 2 has some serious flaws that need to be addressed.

Of course, it’s worth noting that these are just early test screenings, and the film could undergo significant changes before its official release.

But with the movie set to hit theaters on December 25th, there isn’t a lot of time to make major adjustments. And with fans eagerly anticipating the return of Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, it’s hard not to feel a little disappointed by the early reviews.

All we can do now is wait and hope that director James Wan and his team can make the necessary improvements before Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom hits theaters.
