In the post, Stafford expressed his enthusiasm about Activision using his likeness for their next main character, known as “Ratcliffe,” in the upcoming Call of Duty release. He eagerly mentioned his desire to play as himself in the game, reminiscing about playing Black Ops 2 with his college roommates at Anderson University.
Accompanying Stafford’s message were a series of images and videos, providing a glimpse into what seems to be a body scanning rig and showcasing his interactions with the production team. These materials have added fuel to the speculation surrounding the potential story details of Call of Duty 2024.
Connections to Previous Leaks and Inspirations
Earlier leaks in February already hinted at Treyarch’s involvement in developing next year’s Call of Duty under the codename Cerberus, suggesting a possible addition to the Black Ops series. Insider Gaming speculates that the character referred to as “Ratcliffe” by Stafford might draw inspiration from Major Peter Ratcliffe, a former soldier and author who served in the British Army for nearly thirty years.
