Now, as things have settled down, a Twitter user, @GREENY_SO, has shared a gameplay video showcasing the modified color grading and post-processing effects, as well as the unlocked comic book effects.
A Visual Modification with Cinematic Toolkit
@GREENY_SO utilizes a mod called Cinematic Toolkit, developed by ARCHIE, to adjust the color and lighting of Need for Speed: Unbound, resulting in a less saturated and more natural appearance. To avoid misunderstandings, Greeny adds a clarification in a second tweet, stating, “I’m not against color grading and post-processing effects. I believe they can enhance the game’s visuals, but in this case, I think they do more harm than good.”
Hours later, Greeny shares another tweet, quoting the original one, featuring the same mod with additional modifications and effects not present in the previous video. Greeny poses the question, “Which one looks better?”
Ultimately, the player requests the official Need for Speed Twitter account to introduce more weather options rather than focusing solely on emotes and animations. Both versions of the game showcase incredible visuals, but the original retains a distinct charisma and personality.
