According to the CIES Football Observatory, an organization that provides statistical analyses of the labour market for footballers, a ranking of the best players in the top 5 leagues (La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1) has been compiled for the year 2021 to date. Their performances in all league matches since 1 January were assessed. A player must have played at least two-thirds of the possible minutes in order to be included in the ranking.
