The NPD Group, the esteemed company known for tracking and reporting the monthly sales of video games and consoles in the United States, has just released their annual report, revealing the top-selling games of the year in the American market.
Though predictions pointed towards Elden Ring as the reigning champion, it was ultimately Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that claimed the crown as the most purchased game by Americans.
Since its release, this latest installment in the Call of Duty saga has cemented its position as the best-selling title in the United States, dominating both physical and digital sales formats.
It’s a true force to be reckoned with, reigning supreme in November and December, the months whose records have been published alongside the annual sales.
