HBO has announced plans for yet another prequel to Game of Thrones, much to the excitement of fans eagerly anticipating more content from the richly-crafted world of Westeros.
While the network is currently in production on the second season of House of the Dragon, it seems they have more plans to expand the Thrones universe, this time with a new production centering on the story of Aegon I Targaryen, the progenitor of the ruling dynasty of Westeros.
Taking place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones, fans have already begun speculating and dreaming up their perfect casting for the lead role in this highly-anticipated new series.
At the top of the list for many fans is none other than Henry Cavill, who was reportedly auditioned for the role of Aegon I back when the character was briefly mentioned in a single episode of Dragonborn.
