We want to bring your attention to an important update from Microsoft regarding the pricing of Xbox Game Pass. As of today, the cost of Xbox Game Pass subscriptions will be raised.

Currently, you can enjoy the benefits of Game Pass Ultimate, granting access to games on consoles, cloud, and PC, for just £10.99/month. Alternatively, there is a console-only offering available for £7.99/month.

Starting today, these prices will be adjusted to £12.99/€14.99/$16.99 per month for Game Pass Ultimate and £8.99/€10.99/$10.99 per month for the Console-only option. It is important to note that existing monthly subscribers will not experience these changes until 13th August (13th September in Germany).

For those with an annual subscription, the new pricing will only apply when it is time to renew. Game Pass for PC will remain unaffected by these changes.

This price adjustment will take effect in most countries; however, Game Pass console pricing will remain the same in Norway, Chile, Denmark, Switzerland, and Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, starting from 1st August, Xbox Series X will see a price increase in most countries. In the UK, the console’s price will rise from £449.99 to £479.99, while in most of Europe, the price will increase from €499.99 to €549.99.

This price adjustment will bring the Xbox Series X in line with Sony’s PlayStation 5, which experienced a price increase last year in August. No price adjustments have been announced for the Xbox Series S at this time.

Acknowledgment of Inevitable Changes

Xbox boss Phil Spencer mentioned the likelihood of price increases last October, stating, “We’ve held the price on our console, we’ve held the price on games and our subscription. I don’t think we’ll be able to do that forever.” It seems that now, as anticipated, the adjustments are being implemented.

Stay updated and ensure you are aware of these changes to Xbox Game Pass pricing. Stay ahead of the game and continue to enjoy the vast library of games and benefits that Xbox Game Pass offers.
