Gunfire Games, the developer behind Remnant 2, has just rolled out a player-centric update with numerous improvements aimed at giving players more flexibility to explore different builds and enjoy smoother multiplayer interactions. The team’s focus on enhancing the player experience is evident, making Remnant 2 an even more engaging RPG game for all its devoted fans.

The Remnant 2 Patch Notes 08.04.23 bring about several subtle yet impactful changes across all character classes. Gunfire Games expressed their commitment to supporting player experimentation and creativity, with future plans for Traits and long-term grinding.

To facilitate build experimentation, players can now Respec more easily, allowing them to try out various character configurations without the fear of being locked into a particular build.

Trait Cap Increase and Archetype Flexibility

Players will be thrilled to learn that the Trait Cap has been raised by +5, providing additional opportunities for character growth and customization. The Tome of Knowledge now grants Scrap and EXP when players have reached the Trait Cap, making the progression even more rewarding.

The update also introduces more freedom in choosing Archetypes. The requirement for the second Archetype has been removed, allowing players to slot their second Archetype as soon as they obtain or convert another Engram at Wallace. This change expands the options available to players from an early stage, fostering diversity in character development.

Scrap Gains and Resource Costs

Gunfire Games has taken player feedback into account and made resource management more accessible. Players can now use the Orb of Undoing without limitations, and any extras can be sold for Scrap. Additionally, the Scrap cost for converting a Mysterious Item into an Engram has been eliminated, offering more convenience during the gameplay.

Players will also enjoy increased Scrap gains from various sources, including breakables, regular and rare chests, and killing Aberrations. The lowered cost of Bloodroot further eases the burden of resource expenditure, allowing players to focus on the thrill of the adventure.

Multiplayer Enhancement

For those who enjoy teaming up with others in multiplayer mode, Gunfire Games has made an important adjustment to the incoming damage. The reduction from 25% to 15% per additional player ensures a more balanced and enjoyable cooperative gameplay experience.

Gunfire Games’ responsiveness to player feedback and their dedication to improving the overall gaming experience bode well for Remnant 2’s future. With a steadily growing player base and ongoing support from the development team, Remnant 2 is poised to become an enduring favorite in the RPG genre.

The latest Remnant 2 patch showcases Gunfire Games’ commitment to empowering players with more freedom to experiment, build, and enjoy the game’s multiplayer component. The update’s quality of life improvements and buffs cater to the community’s needs, promising an even more thrilling and immersive journey through the fantastical world of Remnant 2.
