Apple TV+ has rounded out the core cast of its upcoming dark-comedy thriller Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, tapping Charlie Hall and Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg as series regulars announced late Tuesday. Both actors will appear opposite Emmy winner Tatiana Maslany, whose lead character Paula—a newly divorced mother caught in a spiral of blackmail, murder and youth-soccer politics—anchors the 10-episode half-hour show from creator-showrunner David J. Rosen.
Hall, known for HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls and FX’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, will portray Rudy, a newsroom staffer whose cynicism masks unexpected loyalty. Goldberg, recently seen in Charmed and Peacock’s The Calling, steps in as Geri, a fact-checker whose diligence entangles her in Paula’s widening crisis. They join previously announced castmates Jake Johnson as Paula’s ex-husband Karl and BAFTA nominee Dolly de Leon as Detective Sofia Gonzalez, a role that marks the Filipina star’s second U.S. series after Nine Perfect Strangers.
Apple Studios is producing alongside Genre Films and Anonymous Content, with Hunters alum Rosen writing and executive-producing. David Gordon Green is attached to direct multiple episodes and share executive-producer duties with Simon Kinberg, Audrey Chon and Bard Dorros. Industry listings place production in Vancouver this autumn, positioning the show for a likely 2026 premiere as part of Apple TV+’s expanding slate of half-hour genre hybrids.
Although Apple has kept plot specifics under wraps, Hall’s and Goldberg’s characters are expected to amplify the newsroom thread that contrasts Paula’s suburban turmoil with the media’s appetite for sensational crime.
Their deals follow a month of casting activity that saw Triangle of Sadness breakout de Leon board the project and underscore Apple’s strategy of pairing prestige names with emerging talent. Streaming analysts note that the service has leaned on quirky thrillers such as Severance and Sugar to differentiate itself in a crowded market; the addition of Hall and Goldberg signals confidence that Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed can attract both younger viewers and awards-season attention.
