Microsoft, through its Xbox Support account, has acknowledged the problem and is actively working on a fix. In the meantime, they have provided an official workaround for Baldur’s Gate 3 players on Xbox.
The method involves carefully saving the game, then navigating to the Xbox dashboard to select ‘Quit Game’ or ‘Save to Quick Resume’ from the game menu. This process should be followed every time players finish their gaming session to avoid the risk of losing their saved progress.
