Sony’s long-rumored collaboration with LEGO, based on Guerrilla Games‘ popular Horizon franchise, is reportedly set to be unveiled in the coming days, with the game launching simultaneously on PlayStation 5 and PC. According to reliable leaker Billbil-kun from Dealabs, the as-yet-unannounced title, tentatively called “LEGO Horizon Adventures,” will be showcased during the upcoming Summer Game Fest event.
The report suggests that pre-orders for the game will open shortly after its official announcement, accompanied by a gameplay trailer during the Summer Game Fest 2024 showcase. While the exact release date remains unknown, Billbil-kun claims that LEGO Horizon Adventures will be playable in both single-player and co-op modes, with cross-platform support enabling players on PS5 and PC to team up.
Two editions of the game are expected to be available: a standard version and a “deluxe” edition, though the specifics of the latter and the game’s pricing have not been disclosed. Additionally, the leaker mentions the presence of “in-app purchases,” but details regarding their nature remain unclear.
Notably, Sony’s upcoming LEGO Horizon game will require PC users to have a PlayStation Network (PSN) account, a policy that aligns with the company’s recent PC releases, such as Until Dawn and God of War Ragnarök. This requirement has been a point of contention, as it effectively locks out players from regions where PSN is unavailable.
