The Starfield was supposed to be released this year, but in the end nothing came of it. This is probably a very good thing, considering the cosmic ambitions of the developers ( which some warn against). Inon Zur is the legendary composer also responsible for the soundtrack to Bethesda’s upcoming blockbuster.
Zur stated that the Skyrim creators’ space epic is “twice the size of Bethesda’s biggest game.” This title is expected to impress with its scale and what can be done in it.
Simultaneously, it makes it the biggest project the studio has ever created. It sounds encouraging, yet we often hear this before the release of big games, right?
A little more interesting and concrete information is the first mention of the production’s storyline. The story is the focus here, says Zura. Obviously, game world, Gameplay and various mechanics here are to stand at an extremely high level, but the creators have reportedly made every effort to impress us with a mature approach to space exploration.
There’s nothing to expect a Skyrim-style game, the plot of which is unlikely to be considered the heights of screenwriting. While Starfield is also expected to allow unprecedented freedom, plot fans are not to be disappointed.
It is a title that raises philosophical questions about the meaning of space exploration, its consequences and a game that is “not afraid to ask questions.” Will we be faced with a philosophical pondering straight out of Planescape: Torment? We do not know, but there is much to suggest it.
