Netflix’s November slate leans on marquee originals and targeted event drops, headlined by Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein on Nov. 7 and the first volume of Stranger Things’ final season on Nov. 26. Netflix’s own preview highlights a month that pairs awards-season films and prestige series with holiday programming and music events, positioning the platform for sustained viewing across Thanksgiving and into December.
Frankenstein arrives on the service after a limited theatrical run that began Oct. 17, an increasingly common strategy for the company’s high-profile films. The adaptation stars Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein and Jacob Elordi as the Creature, with Netflix confirming the Nov. 7 streaming date following festival play and a stepped-up trailer campaign.
Stranger Things Season 5 is being rolled out in three parts, with four episodes landing on Nov. 26, further installments at Christmas, and a finale on New Year’s Eve. The staggered schedule extends the show’s cultural presence through the holiday period and aligns with Netflix’s push to turn flagship titles into appointment viewing windows.
The month’s series roster includes The Beast in Me, led by Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys in a psychological drama about a reclusive writer and the unsettling neighbor who becomes her obsession. Netflix’s lineup also features documentaries Being Eddie, a profile of Eddie Murphy, Selena y Los Dinos, chronicling Selena Quintanilla’s family band, and The Stringer: The Man Who Took the Photo, revisiting a defining Vietnam War image.
Music and holiday offerings are threaded throughout the calendar. One Shot with Ed Sheeran debuts Nov. 21, billed as a real-time performance piece filmed on New York streets, while festive titles A Merry Little Ex-Mas, Champagne Problems, and Jingle Bell Heist broaden family and seasonal options as December approaches. Together with the platform’s tentpoles, these releases are designed to capture both weeknight sampling and concentrated holiday binge patterns.
